... "Play mean." As we think about guys like George Atkinson, Mean Joe Greene, Ernie Holmes and other football legends, we realize that they played "mean" and won games. Of course, what they did had to comply with NFL rules.

Now if a college team in North Texas can continue to promote the motto "mean green" then certainly they must want to produce more tough professional football players like "Mean Joe Greene" as an example.

We have our list of mean players of the Oakland Raiders of the past. Even some of our wide receivers were tagged as men to be feared on the playing field.  You can list those names in the comment section.
