Michigan Picks Up 15th Commitment to the 2010 Class

... a scholarship on Friday. On Saturday, he decided the offer was too good to pass up and verbally gave his pledge to become a Wolverine in 2010.

Avery is a three star CB, as rated by Scout, and the No. 23 CB in the country. He mainly played QB for his high school, but his size, 5'10'' 165 pounds, is better suited for CB. The Michigan coaches got a good look at him at camp last week and liked what they saw and gave him an offer quickly.

Avery had committed to Stanford but decided to stay closer to home and attend Michigan.

He carries a 3.7 GPA and would like to be in the pre-med program at Michigan.
