Jauron's release came after three and a half seasons of mediocrity. In his time with the Bills, Jauron accumulated a record of 24-33 going 7-9 for each of his three full seasons. The team currently has a record of 3-6.
On Wednesday there came the announcement that Ryan Fitzpatrick would replace Trent Edwards as the starting quarterback. Fitzpatrick went 2-1 while subbing for the injured Edwards.
(This is counting the game in which Edwards got hurt, Fitzpatrick played most of that game but Edwards was officially credited with the win.)
