This time, Florida makes the huge jump to No. 1 that everyone had expected them to already hold at the beginning of the season. This jump was helped by their victory over LSU, who came in at No. 2 on last week’s projected BCS and also held the No. 1 spot in all available BCS computer rankings.
Alabama, likely on the strength of their inter-conference rivalry game against Ole Miss, stays ahead of Texas to claim the No. 2 spot, and Virginia Tech, already considered the best one-loss team in the nation, also stays ahead of the Longhorns at No. 3.
